Liverpool dominates Ballon d’Or 2019 shortlist




Shortlist of 30 players nominated for Ballon d’Or 2019 has been announced recently. Liverpool seems dominating the shortlist when 7 of their player were shortlisted.

From the list above, it can be seen that 23% of the players are from Liverpool and half of the nomination list were players that plays for English club.

Another thing that catches the attention is the presence of young players like Joao Felix in the list. Those young players have shown their capabilities until they were able to be nominated in this prestigious award.

Ronaldo manage to beat Messi on Ballon dOr record

Lionel Messi already disappoints Ronaldo in their race for FIFA Best Men’s Player award recently. Now, the focus was directed towards the Ballon d’Or award which is around the corner. Shortlist for 30 players that were chosen for Ballon d’Or award has been announced by France Football previously. Ronaldo and Messi happen to be listed along with 28 other players. Both of the professional players are trying to get their sixth Ballon d’Or award this year. However, before the winner been announce, Ronaldo already beat his all-time rival. Ronaldo already beat his rival and put his name in Ballon d’Or record. He managed to be the first player that was shortlisted for the award for 16 times in a row. Messi is following closely with 14 times nomination in a row. After frustrating moment when he missed UEFA 2019 best player and FIFA’s The Best Men’s Player this year, surely Ronaldo really want to get this award.

Jose Mourinho open for Arsenal invitation

Lately, fans of The Gunners started to lose their trust towards the current coach, Unai Emery. Due to that, many names had been linked as the perfect person to replace Unai and the most popular names being mention was the former Manchester United coach, Jose Mourinho.
